Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata is an autonomous engineering college. The institution mainly offers three programmes, B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA. The B.Tech programme is a four-year course with 9 branches of specialisation, while the M.Tech is a two-year course with 7 areas of specialisation. HIT also provides a three-year MCA course.
For admission into any of these programmes, the candidates must clear the approved entrance exams. A qualified applicant can only then apply for admission. The admission process depends on the candidate’s score in the entrance examination as well as their performance in the qualifying examination. It must also be noted that about 10% seats are reserved for Management Quota, and the Management can take the final decision on admissions to these seats.
Heritage Institute of Technology B.Tech programme is a full-time engineering course with the duration of 4 years. The intake capacity of the programme varies for each stream with CSE and ECE have the highest intake of 162 seats.
For admission into the B.Tech programme, the candidates must clear either WBJEE or JEE (Main) by CBSE. If qualified, the applicants should apply for their desired branch in the college by filling in the application form available at the college official website.
